Cottage
Ten Bay Beach, Eleuthera, Bahamas
House
Information The
master bedroom, guest bedroom and living/ dining area face the
water. Each bedroom has glass sliding doors opening onto a wide
deck which runs the full length of the front of the house.
Overhangs provide you with an enclosed seating area off each bedroom for
you to enjoy your morning cup of coffee out of the sun. Each
bedroom has its own private full bath. Ceiling fans are in both
bedrooms and the living/ dining area. Bedroom air conditioners are
for those rare summer nights when the breeze and ceiling fans are just
not sufficient. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed; the guest
bedroom has twin beds that can be converted to a king-sized bed.
Plenty of towels and linen are provided. We try and keep extra
beach towels on hand for guest; however we recommend that you bring your
own beach towels. A cleaning services comes in the end
of your stay to clean the house and take care of laundry. The
Living/dining area has 3 glass sliding doors for access to the deck and
to capture that refreshing Caribbean breeze. The kitchen is
fully-equipped with all of the gadgets of home (toaster, coffee maker,
microwave, blender, etc--sorry, no dishwasher!) A barbecue grill
is available. The house has a telephone, direct satellite television
and VCR and Sony CD and tape player. We try to keep a good supply
of books, games, etc.. on hand. You
may want to bring some food items, condiments and toiletries. Most
airlines will allow you to check a large cooler as one of your bags.
We usually take down our favorite cuts of meats (saves $$ and is convenient.)
Pack with ice blocks (no dry ice) and tape securely. Label well
"FROZEN FOODS, GOVERNOR'S HARBOUR, ELEUTHERA BAHAMAS and YOUR
NAME". Shopping is less than 5 miles away for food, spirits,
and bottled drinking water; however, if you are arriving late on
Saturday or arriving on Sunday, you should bring some food with
you. A number of restaurants are close by serving a variety of
Bahamian dishes as well as American fare-reasonably priced and good
food. Most restaurants are open 7 days a week. When you
arrive, read the guest book as guests have left great ideas of places to
eat and things to see.
